This Islamic wall art is inspired by the event of Al-Israa’ and Al-Mi’raj as recorded in the Qur’an and Hadith.
It is the miraculous Night Journey of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) which consists of two phases. Phase one covers his trip from Makkah to Jerusalem, known as Al-Israa’, and phase two covers his ascent from Jerusalem into the Heavens, known as Al-Mi`raj.
The creature on which the Prophet (SAW) travelled known as Al-Buraq, a beast resembling a horse with two huge wings springing from its back - for me is something so magical. I wanted to create a minimalistic poster design to celebrate this event, Alhumdulillah.
May Allah keep us guided on the path of Islam, Insha’Allah, ameen.
For all my artwork, I have chosen the square shape because it reminds me of the Kaaba - the cube - the perfect shape Mash’Allah.

Our box frame is milled from solid ash, hand-stained by our team and finished with a specialist wax to accentuate the grain. The frame has a box profile measuring 20mm (front face) by 33mm (depth from wall).
Each box frame is available to order with or without a mount and comes with a durable Perspex glaze.
Please note: the size listed for each frame refers to the size of the glaze and does not include the width of the frame. For example, 20 inch prints without a mount will fit a 20 inch glaze exactly, but prints with a mount will be smaller than 20 inches to fit the mount window opening.
